We continue this blog series with part 2 of our discussion on the 7 battlegrounds. Coaches Shane and Kimberly share their thoughts about what it means to forge freedom in the spiritual realm.

SHANE
"I get that not everyone believes in God, and I get that this whole subject can turn some people off, but this is an important battleground. Whether you are not spiritual at all, or you are extremely spiritual, everyone identifies as spiritual in some way. I define spirituality as discovering our original design, finding out what our unique purpose is, and connecting with the Divine. We all have strengths, weaknesses, passions, and goals in life. Finding out what those are and using them to the best of our ability is all part of this journey we call life.
We don’t have all the answers and we need to keep asking questions and being curious. The more we search the more answers we will get and the more we will learn our purpose. It is important to find like-minded people and be in community. We were designed for community and not isolation. Sometimes we act like every man is his own island, but that really sucks when the storms of life come and we are there to fight it all by ourselves."
KIMBERLY
"This invisible realm of the spiritual has truly been a battleground for me mostly because of my experiences growing up in organized religion. I've always believed that there is an invisible realm, something out there bigger than myself. It has been personally proven to me that there is something more to being human than this earthly experience, and that there is a bigger picture, a greater good that we are a part of. I believe that it is divine in nature. I call this force God, my creator, father, and friend. We all identify with this force in different ways but for all of us it is a personal experience unique to us as if we were the only soul in existence.
To be spiritual is to be curious about our design, purpose, and giftings; the things that make us who we are. From head to toe, you were intricately created on purpose, for a purpose, at this specific time in history. Skillfully crafted with no mistakes. Spirituality is about having the awareness or attunement to listen to the Divine voice and take instruction for our earthly journey. As we train this skill, we will come into the best version of our physical selves and strengthen our soul ties to this bigger picture and the one who holds all things together. The Divine, your creator desires a relationship with you.
Maybe you wrestle as I did with theological truths, the church's opinions, man's oppressive rules, and a reconstruction of your faith, but as you practice spiritual attunement, you can gain clarity on the absolute truth based on facts that bring peace and healing to your soul."
Freedom Coaching will help guide you into spiritual habits and teach daily practices to gain freedom in this battleground and walk with joy and confidence in your true identity.
